According to a website, he lived in the UK with his wife and two children.
According to media reports, Oceangate founder and chief executive officer (CEO) Stockton Rush and French pilot Paul-Henri Nargolet were also aboard the submarine.

According to the report, one more name could have been included in the dead, but thankfully the British businessman decided not to go at the last moment. Brown explained why he had agreed to go see the wreckage of the Titanic in the first place.
