Controversy continues over Adipurush, a film inspired by Ramayana. People are very angry with the makers of the film. A few days ago it was reported that Manoj Muntashir Shukla, author of Adipurush, had sought protection from the Mumbai Police. Now the film’s director Om Raut has also been provided with police protection.
Adipurush’s writer Manoj Muntashir Shukla had sought police protection after receiving death threats from the audience for misrepresentation of dialogues and characters. After which he was given protection by the Mumbai Police.
But now it has come to light that director Om Raut has also been provided with police protection. According to reports, recently four constables along with an armed policeman were seen at Om Raut’s office.
However, it is not clear whether Om Raut had sought security or the police took precautionary measures due to the ongoing controversy across the country. Om Raut is also receiving death threats because of the film’s controversy.
According to the report of the Free Press Journal, the national president of Kshatriya Karni Sena had allegedly threatened to kill director Om Raut. The report quoted the chairman as saying, “We are planning to form a team in Mumbai and ask them to find him and bring weapons to kill him.”
The film Adipurush has been in controversy for its dialogues, especially the one spoken by Hanuman during the Lanka Dahan scene. Seeing the reaction of the audience, the makers decided to rework the dialogues of the film and they were changed within 72 hours.
There were also demands for a ban on the film by a certain section of the audience. Some spectators have also burnt effigies of Manoj.
