In Madhya Pradesh, 24 National Highway projects 724 kilometers long at a cost of Rs 10,405 crore will be inaugurated and the foundation stone will be laid on Tuesday. For this, programs will be organized at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal and Veterinary College Ground in Jabalpur. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will lay the foundation stone of 15 498 km long projects at a cost of Rs 8,38 crore in Bhopal and nine 226 km long projects in Jabalpur at a cost of Rs 2,367 crore.

Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh will be present in both the programmes. Public Works Department officials said that these projects will boost the wheat and paddy agriculture trade of Mahakoshal region. Connectivity to famous tourist places Khajuraho, Orchha, National Pench Tiger Corridor will be easy. Budhni textile industries and wood craft business will benefit. Besides, commercial and civil traffic will also be facilitated between the states of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Delhi.

Foundation stone will be laid and inaugurated in Jabalpur – Bridge on Jamni River located on Tikamgarh-Jhansi road, two-lane road upgradation (with paved shoulder) from Chadiya Valley to Katni Bypass, four-lane widening of Bamitha to Khajuraho stretch, inauguration of works in Gulganj.
