Virendra Kumar Nagvanshi alias Laden (18) of the deceased’s locality had killed the student by strangulating him with a rope and threw the body. The accused suspected that his two girlfriends had moved away from him because of the deceased. After the murder of the student, the accused wanted to kill his girlfriend also. He could not succeed in this due to lack of meeting. Here the police has arrested him.

The body of the student was found in Manipur police station area of ​​Ambikapur on Sunday morning. Prima facie it appeared to be a case of murder, so the police team under the leadership of CSP Smriti Rajnala started investigation. During the investigation, the mobile phone used by the deceased was examined. The name of the accused had come up as a suspect in the investigation. Here during investigation, information was received that the deceased was last seen with his friends. When his friends were interrogated on this, they also told the name of Virendra Kumar Nagvanshi alias Laden. On this the police took him into custody. During interrogation he confessed to the murder. Police station in-charge Manipur Inspector Pradeep Jaiswal, Sub Inspector Prem Sagar Khutia, Assistant Sub Inspector Vivek Pandey, Bablu Kujur, Lalan Prasad Gupta, Head Constable Mehshwar Singh, Bhojraj Paswan, Vipin Tiwari remained active in the action.

The accused suspected that his two girlfriends had moved away from him because of the deceased. The accused had started harboring a grudge due to the deceased’s conversation and association with a girl known to the accused.

Police interrogation revealed that the accused carried out the incident in a well-planned manner. On the evening of 26th January, he took the student along and started consuming liquor near the incident spot. When the student became drunk, the accused untied the rope attached to the cap of his jacket and strangled the deceased. After the murder, the body was dragged and thrown at the spot. The dead body remained unnoticed for the entire day on January 27. On the morning of January 28, people saw the dead body and informed the police. After killing the student, the accused was also searching for his girlfriend. His intention was also to kill his girlfriend.
