Kiran Rao spoke on war of words with Sandeep Reddy Vanga
Sandeep Reddy Vanga, director of the film ‘Animal’, had recently targeted Kiran on one of her old statements, in which he had talked about her previous film ‘Kabir Singh’. Vanga had said that ‘they should first ask Aamir what he was doing in his old film ‘Ishq’.

Responding to this, Kiran had defended Aamir and said that if Vanga has a problem with Aamir, then she should talk to him directly. This answer of Kiran regarding Vanga was much discussed.

Now, while talking to Connect FM Canada, Kiran laughingly said that his affair with Vanga is helping to generate buzz for his film ‘Missing Ladies’. He said, ‘I felt I should respond. When I replied, it was in front of everyone. I hope that if people have seen that, they will know who I am and that my film is coming on March 1.

Kiran Rao is ready to act
When Kiran was told that her own personality is such that she should get into acting, she said that she herself would like to act. Kiran said, ‘I am telling people to give me a good role, I will be very happy to act. I did a lot of acting in college, that’s why I was attracted to films.

Kiran told why despite having interest in acting, she focused on other film departments. Kiran said, ‘When I studied films in Jamia, I felt that I can create stories. And at that time people who looked like me did not go into acting. Your life could not be spent in the bracket of character roles. That’s why when I first came to Mumbai and started working in films, I did not think about acting.

Kiran further said in this conversation, ‘How women should feel was, in a way, already decided. Must have long straight hair. How do you cast people with glasses in films, of course I can get into the role as per the requirement. So whatever was the perception of a perfect woman, heroines were expected to be in the same mold. So there has been a lot of change now. We see all types of women on screen. And we need to see all types of women on screen. Kiran’s film ‘Lapata Ladies’ is also coming with a story in which the focus is on women. Its trailer is very much discussed and Loaf is liking it. ‘Missing Ladies’ will be released in theaters on March 1.
