The advisory said that the parade will pass through Vijay Chowk, Dutva Path, C-Hexagon, Subhash Chandra Bose Square, Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Netaji Subhash Marg and Red Fort. No traffic is being allowed on the duty route from Vijay Chowk to India Gate from 6 pm on Wednesday. The restrictions will continue until the parade ends.

The advisory states that no traffic will be allowed on the duty route on Rafi Marg, Janpath, Man Singh Road from 10 pm on Wednesday night till the end of the parade. C-Hexagon-India Gate will remain closed for traffic from 9.15 am on Thursday till the parade crosses Tilak Marg. Traffic will not be allowed on Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and Netaji Subhash Marg from 10.30 am on Thursday.

Only cross-traffic will be allowed depending on the parade situation. The traffic advisory suggests alternative routes that drivers can follow. The advisory said that to reach the temple route, travelers can take the route from Madrasa, Lodhi Road T-Point to Aurobindo Marg, AIIMS Chowk, Ring Road-Dhaula Kuan, Vande Mataram Marg and Shankar Road.

Non-traditional flying like paragliders, paramotors, hang gliders, UAVs, UAS, microlight aircraft, remotely piloted aircraft, hot air balloons, small-sized aircraft, quadcopters or parajumping from aircraft is banned till February 15.

Passengers going from South Delhi towards New Delhi Railway Station can pass through Dhaula Kuan, Vande Mataram Marg, Panchkuian Road, Connaught Place Outer Circle and Chelmsford Road from Paharganj side and Minto Road and Bhavabhuti Marg from Ajmeri Gate side. From East Delhi one can take Boulevard Road via ISBT Bridge, Rani Jhansi Flyover, Jhandewalan Roundabout, DB Gupta Road, Sheela Cinema Road and Paharganj Bridge.

To travel to Old Delhi Railway Station from South Delhi, people have been urged to use Ring Road, Ashram Chowk, Sarai Kale Khan, Rajghat, Chowk Yamuna Bazar, SP Mukherjee Marg, Chhatta Rail and Kauria Bridge. Interstate buses going from Ghaziabad to Shivaji Stadium will have to take National Highway-24, Ring Road and terminate at Bhairon Road. Buses coming from National Highway-24 will turn right on Road No. 56 and terminate at ISBT-Anand Vihar.

Buses from Ghaziabad to Wazirabad Bridge will be diverted from Mohan Nagar towards Bhopra Chungi. No heavy transport/light goods vehicles will be allowed to enter Delhi from other states from 11 pm on Thursday till the end of the parade. These vehicles will be allowed to ply only on Ring Road between ISBT-Sarai Kale Khan and ISBT-Kashmiri Gate from 7.30 am to 1.30 pm on Friday.

‘Announcements will be made at metro stations’

Use public transport to reach the duty path. Those who have e-invitation cards or e-tickets to attend the Republic Day celebrations will be issued coupons on showing government-issued identity cards at metro stations. These coupons will be valid for exiting Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan stations to access the duty path, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said in a statement.

‘President of France will be the chief guest’
