Along with this, Madhya Pradesh government is also preparing to purchase wheat from farmers at support price. Farmers will have to register to sell wheat at support price. For this, registration will be started from February 5, which will continue till March 1. After this, procurement is likely to start from March 15.

According to Agriculture Deputy Director KC Waskel, the work of farmer registration for wheat procurement at support price for Rabi marketing year 2023-24 will be done on the e-procurement portal from February 5 to March 1. Farmers can get themselves registered by attending the farmer committee/group level registration centre.

Apart from this, to avoid crowd at the registration center, farmers can also register through MP Kisan App from their own mobile, from any option of Gram Panchayat, Janpad Panchayat and Tehsil Facilitation Center for free or through authorized MP online, CSSC, Public Service Center and private cyber. Paid registration can also be done through café.

For which the maximum fee amount is fixed at Rs 50. Registration of forest lease holder farmers will be done at the designated committee/group level registration center only. Wheat registration will be based on the crop and area recorded in Girdawari and the name of the farmer recorded in the land records.

Match Giradawari information with app

Before registration, farmers should match the information of Girdawari with MP Kisan App. In case of any error, get necessary corrections in Girdawari from the Revenue Department before registration. Information about successful registration will be received through SMS, the print of which can also be taken out. This year, during registration, it is necessary that the correct mobile number and bank account of the farmer should be linked to the Aadhaar card. All farmers should ensure this before registration so that they do not have to face difficulties at the time of crop procurement. Also link your bank account with Aadhaar, so that there is no difficulty in payment.

Farmers are not interested in selling wheat

It is noteworthy that even after registration, many farmers do not sell their produce at the support price. An example of this can be seen in the registration and purchase figures of last year itself. Let us tell you that last year 26 thousand farmers had registered to sell wheat at support price in the district. However, it cannot be said how many farmers who got registered sold wheat to the government. Because before this, about 32 thousand farmers had registered and only about 700 farmers had sold wheat. According to farmers, one of the reasons for this is not getting the amount in cash.
