In a single day, action was taken against more than 700 vehicles under different sections of the MV Act for ignoring traffic rules. 25 vehicles found driving under the influence of alcohol were seized. Preparations are underway to present the case in court.

In fact, SSP Santosh Kumar Singh has given instructions to the traffic police to prevent accidents on the ring road passing through the city and also to maintain smooth and safe traffic system. In this context, action is being taken by running a campaign against vehicles parked dangerously in no parking by disrupting the traffic.

Special campaign against vehicles parked in no parking

ASP Traffic Sachindra Kumar Choubey said that the traffic police staff under the leadership of DSP Gurjit Singh, Sushanto Banerjee, Karan Kumar Uke, conducted a special campaign against vehicles parked with no parking on Ring Road No. 1 and 2 passing through the city and arrested nine auto rickshaws, Action has been taken against 12 vehicles including three trucks under section 283.

Due to the Assembly session going on for the last several days, this action of the police seemed to have stopped. But as soon as the session ended, strict action has been started again against those who ignore the traffic rules. For the last two weeks, Ring Road Number One passing through the city And in two cases, action is being taken against drivers driving without helmet and seat belt.

Action against 284 two wheeler drivers without helmets

On Thursday too, action was taken under the Motor Vehicles Act against 284 drivers driving two-wheelers without helmets and 156 drivers driving four-wheelers without seat belts. Similarly, challans were issued to more than 75 auto and e-rickshaw drivers who parked in no-parking areas on major roads and intersections within the city and picked up and dropped off passengers. Fines were collected from more than 50 drivers for installing black films in cars, modified silencers in two-wheelers etc.

In this series, 25 drivers who were driving under the influence of alcohol were caught and their vehicles were confiscated. ASP has appealed to the drivers to cooperate with the traffic police in the smooth operation of the city’s traffic system. Drive the vehicle following the traffic rules. Do not park your vehicle in no parking area. While intoxicated, do not drive a two-wheeler without a helmet or a four-wheeler without a seat belt. Do not allow minor children to drive.
