Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, arrested in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam case, did not get relief from the court even on Thursday. After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the court approved the 5-day ED remand of CM Kejriwal. ED had demanded remand of 7 days from the court. During this, both the parties presented their arguments strongly. On one hand, Kejriwal raised questions on his arrest, while on the other hand, ED told the court that Kejriwal is yet to be interrogated.

In the remand copy presented by ED in the court, links of this case to Goa and Punjab have also been mentioned. According to ED, the statements of Arvind Kejriwal were recorded for 5 days in the 7-day remand which was earlier received from the court. Statements of Kejriwal, as the accused and the mastermind of the entire case, were recorded from 23 to 27 March. Apart from these, statements of 3 more people were also recorded in this context. These include Manish Sisodia’s former secretary C Arvind. The draft of the GoM report was given to him at his home in the presence of Arvind Kejriwal.

Goa’s AAP candidate interrogated

ED told the court that the statement of an Aam Aadmi Party candidate in Goa has also been recorded, who told that the Delhi office of Aam Aadmi Party was keeping the accounts of the entire election expenditure in Goa. He was being given cash for his expenses. During Kejriwal’s arrest on March 21, a phone of his wife was confiscated. His data is under investigation. 4 digital devices have been found from Kejriwal. They are not telling their passwords. He says that he will ask his lawyer and tell him all this. In fact, the agency has argued that out of the bribe of Rs 100 crore taken by the Aam Aadmi Party from the southern liquor company for the liquor policy, Rs 45 crore was used in the Goa elections.

Waiting for Kejriwal’s visitor data

According to the remand copy of ED, Kejriwal has not yet given information about his ITR, movable and immovable properties. When he was also asked about the visitor register of the CM office, he told that no such register is maintained there. We were told that there is an online portal to meet the CM and there is registration. Awaiting his information.

Punjab officials called for questioning

ED told the court that some officers working in the Excise Department of Punjab have also been called for questioning. They were involved in pressurizing the liquor traders of Delhi not to pay bribes. Due to not paying bribe, the factories of such businessmen were closed or they were not able to supply their goods in Punjab.

Kejriwal gave these arguments in the court

Kejriwal said that we want to thank the ED officers who are cooperating. This matter has been going on for two and a half years. Kejriwal said that he wants to say something. On this the court allowed him to speak. After this Kejriwal said that I would like to tell you why my name came. I was neither arrested nor prosecuted in any court. 31000 pages have been filed. he adds-

1. My name appeared at four places. The allegation is that C Arvind (former secretary of Sisodia) gave documents to Sisodia at my house. Hundreds of people come to my house. You can arrest me on this charge. The court said that it should be given in writing.

2. The second case is of Srinivasan, who came to my house to talk about land for opening a trust. We said, you give the proposal and we will give it to LG, then ED raided Srinivasan’s house and when the son was arrested, the matter ended. When Srinivas changes his statement, he gets bail. ED’s aim is to implicate us. In the 25,000 pages filed by ED, statements have been made against Kejriwal, which is not a favorable statement.

3. Raghav Manguta has seven statements, in 6 of them my name is not there, in the seventh when he gives a statement against me, he gets bail. Where is the liquor scam money? An allegation of Rs 100 crore is being made. There is an order by Justice Sanjeev Khanna, in which it is said that this is suspicious. There is no mention of bribery against me in 8 out of 9 statements of Sharath Reddy. But as soon as he speaks against me in the 9th statement, he gets bail.

4. ED’s investigation has two objectives. Creating atmosphere and collecting money by threatening ED. Sharat Reddy donated Rs 55 crore from electoral bonds. The aim of ED is to destroy and crush AAP party. Sharat Reddy was granted bail after donating Rs 55 crore. After being arrested, Sharat Reddy had donated Rs 55 crore to BJP. We have a copy of the bond.

6. The purpose of the investigation is to extort money and crush AAP.

7. Kejriwal said that the copy of the bond should be given to the court.

8. As long as ED wants to keep me in its custody, I am ready for investigation.

Kejriwal was arrested on March 21

Let us tell you that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by ED from his official residence on March 21 after questioning for about two hours. In the Delhi liquor scam, Rouse Avenue Court had sent him to ED custody. Even after his arrest, Arvind Kejriwal has not resigned from the post of Chief Minister. Aam Aadmi Party leaders say that he will remain the Chief Minister of Delhi and will run the government from jail if necessary.
