Digital Desk, New Delhi. Farmers Protest News: Farmers have once again come out on agitation in the country. Farmers from some states including Punjab and Haryana have reached Delhi. Tight security arrangements have been made to prevent farmers from entering the capital. Security forces are deployed at Sindhu Border, Ghazipur Border, Tikri Border, Iraunda Border and Shambhu Border. Due to the farmers’ protest, there has been a huge traffic jam on the borders with Delhi.

This time the movement is being led by United Kisan (Apolitical) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha. Both organizations have earlier been part of the United Kisan Morcha. Kisan Mazdoor Morcha is a group of 18 farmers. Sarwan Singh Pandher is its coordinator. Both the groups include farmers from Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.

Which organization is leading the Delhi march?

When farmers started returning after the repeal of agricultural laws, differences arose between agricultural groups. Due to which many divisions of groups occurred. Now the number of active farmer organizations is around 50, whereas in 2020 it was 32. More than 200 farmer organizations are involved in the Delhi march.

Jagjit Singh Dallewal formed a separate organization

Agricultural organization BKU, under the leadership of Jagjit Singh Dallewal, has taken small groups along. An organization SKM (non-political) has been formed. This includes farmer groups from Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan. It, along with Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, held rallies in Amritsar and Barnala with the call of Delhi Chalo. Dallewal has earlier been a part of the United Kisan Marcha. Formed an organization in Bar along with Balbir Singh Rajewal.

Kisan Mazdoor Morcha

10 farmer groups have together formed the Kisan Morcha. Its coordinator is Sarwan Singh Pandher. Gurnam Singh Chaduni kept distance

Farmer leader Gurnam Singh Chaduni has distanced himself from the movement. He has raised questions on the farmers’ march to Delhi. They allege that those leaders who were involved in the previous movement have been kept aside. Gurnam said that last time it was decided that the movement would be carried out again if necessary. Now if the farmers are going to protest again, they had to first call a meeting of the farmer unions. Didn’t even consult us. United Kisan Morcha leader Hanan Mollah said that All India Kisan Sabha is a party of United Kisan Morcha. We are not involved in the demonstration. Some parties separated from the United Kisan Morcha and have called this movement.
