Jabalpur News: Naidunia Representative, Jabalpur. The dispute that took place yesterday between the Deputy Engineer and the employee leader in the Municipal Corporation is gaining momentum. On Thursday, under the banner of Madhya Pradesh Municipal Corporation, Municipal Employees Union, a large number of Municipal Corporation employees demonstrated strongly in the Corporation premises. During this time, a memorandum was submitted to the Assistant Commissioner first in the name of the Mayor and then in the name of the Municipal Commissioner, accusing the Deputy Engineer of indecency with the employee leader and warning that if disciplinary and punitive action was not taken against the Deputy Engineer, the organization would be forced to carry out violent agitation. During this time the employee leaders Jabalpur Municipal Corporation The main gate of the Municipal Corporation was also closed due to which the applicants coming for important work remained troubled, while the functioning of the Municipal Corporation was also affected for about two hours due to the participation of departmental employees in the demonstration.

Bribe demanded to pass the map

Employees Union Patron Ram Dubey, Provincial Organization Secretary Kapil Dubey, District President Anil Tiwari submitted a memorandum to Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh Annu after the demonstration in which it was alleged that Municipal Corporation Deputy Engineer Yashwant Soni was harassed by Union Patron Pandit Ram Dubey in the last one year. Three maps were given to pass a month ago. On which the sub-engineer was demanding Rs 20 thousand per map in lieu of getting the map passed. The allegation is that the sub-engineer misbehaved with Ram Dubey and abused him. A warning was given through the memorandum that if action is not taken against the sub-engineer then a fierce agitation will be carried out. The Mayor assured appropriate action after getting the matter investigated. After this, in the absence of the Municipal Commissioner, a memorandum was submitted to Assistant Commissioner Rachitya Awasthi. On this occasion, a large number of employees including Joint Employees Morcha President Santosh Tiwari, Harnarayan Patel, Mukesh Rajak, Ramesh Mishra, Umashankar Tiwari, Mithilesh Rao, Ramesh Pasi, Naveen Vyas, Rajesh Sen, Durgesh Arya, Surendra Burman were present.

Deputy Engineer Yashwant Soni said, they were trying to get the map passed by applying pressure.
