This time Ram Navami is going to be very special in Ayodhya. Lakhs of devotees will come here to have darshan of Ramlala. In view of this, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple will remain open 24 hours from April 15 to April 17. Devotees will be able to have darshan of Ramlala 24 hours, if needed, it will be considered to open Shri Ram temple 24 hours on April 18 also. The administration has also geared up for this Ram Navami. Senior officials of the government are also holding regular meetings and reviewing the preparations.

After a long wait and struggles, when Ram Lalla is seated in his grand temple, the devotion of Ram devotees can be clearly seen. On an average, about 2 lakh devotees are visiting daily. Sometimes this number reaches 4 to 5 lakhs. Now, it can be estimated that when so many devotees reach Ayodhya on normal days, how large a number of Ram devotees will come to Ayodhya during Ram Navami.

Ayodhya Police Administration has also prepared its plan regarding Ram Navami. DGP Prashant Kumar and Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra reached Ayodhya to review the plan and brainstormed on the plans prepared by local officers regarding preparations. After inspection of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex, systematic changes were observed and necessary guidelines were also issued.

During the review meeting, in conversation with the officials of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, it was agreed to open Shri Ram Temple 24 hours from April 15 to April 17 (before Ram Navami i.e. Saptami, Ashtami, Navami), so that maximum number of devotees can visit. Can. Shri Ram Temple will be open 24 hours for three days, but if need arises, Shri Ram Temple will also be opened for devotees 24 hours on 18th April, the next day of Ram Navami.

Till now, about 15 lakh devotees have been estimated to attend the Ram Navami event, but the Ayodhya administration believes that the exact number of devotees will be known only after Ram Navami.

Ayodhya DM Nitish Kumar said that a meeting was held regarding Ram Navami. We have made extensive preparations considering the number of devotees. People will be informed about where there will be traffic diversion. We have made extensive arrangements for the people in Hanumangarhi and Ram Janmabhoomi. The most important thing is that the temple will remain open 24 hours on the day of Ramnavmi and more and more devotees will be able to have darshan of Ramlala. Before Ram Navami, barqueting will be done from Ram Temple to Sugriv Fort.

Ayodhya Range IG Praveen Kumar said that continuous monitoring is being done at all levels regarding the security of Ram Janmabhoomi.
