Rajnandgaon. Police have solved the mystery of the murder of a middle-aged man that took place two days ago in village Kopenwagaon of Dongargarh. The accused turned out to be the son of the deceased. 48-year-old Sheshnarayan Verma, resident of Kopenwagaon, was murdered by his 22-year-old son Domesh Kumar Verma. On the day of Holi, there was a dispute between father and son over drinking alcohol. After the dispute, the deceased Sheshnarayan threatened his son to have fun after leaving his maternal uncle at home, after which the accused Domesh became angry.

The accused left with the pangiya kept in the house and started waiting for his father to arrive. As soon as he saw his father near the village pond, he attacked him swiftly. After this, the accused went to the hospital in Khairagarh, pretending to have a heart attack.

The deceased had gone to jail in a double murder case.

After the incident, the accused Domesh Verma was admitted to the hospital on the pretext of heart attack to avoid interrogation and police. At first glance, the police became suspicious of the accused because of the colors of Holi on the pangiya used in the incident and the colors and cuts on the hands of the accused. But the police were facing difficulties in the investigation due to the accused pretending to be admitted to the hospital.

When the accused was brought from Khairagarh Hospital and interrogated, the accused confessed to killing his father. At the same time, Tangiya was told to throw the doli in a nearby clump of land and take out the half-burnt clothes she was wearing and hide it in the house. During interrogation, the accused told that the deceased Shesh Narayan Verma had previously served eight years of imprisonment for a double murder in 2010 at Gatapar police station.

Was angry due to mother being attacked

Deceased Sheshnarayan Verma had once fatally attacked his wife. After which the accused was harboring a grudge against his father. On the day of Holi, there was a huge dispute between father and son over drinking alcohol. After the dispute, the accused Domesh, in a fit of rage, attacked his father with a sword and killed him. In this case, the police have arrested the accused son and sent him to jail.
