Manish Tripathi, who designed Ramlala’s attire in the newly constructed Ram temple in Ayodhya, has said that the divine connection with Lord Ram helped him complete the task. Manish Tripathi said, “We got Pitambari (yellow) cloth prepared for the Lord in Kashi (Varanasi). Its special thing is that along with silk, gold and silver wire has also been used in preparing it.” He said about the material and design used in preparing the dress, ”We have worked on the dress. The embroidery has Vaishnav symbols.” He said, ”The biggest challenge was to create a cloth that would be in keeping with the child’s form and the grandeur of the Lord. I prayed to God to show me the way and He showed me the signs and gave me the knowledge so that I could create such a garment.” The young designer, born and brought up in Lucknow, said the movement has been around for more than 500 years. It was also a challenge to live up to the imagination and expectations of the waiting devotees. Tripathi said, “I feel very proud after getting such a good response to the costume from everyone.” He said, “I got the best response from my mother and my wife, who had a smile on their face and a smile in their eyes.” I appreciated the dress with tears.”
