Wednesday March 27 was the last day for filing nominations for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections, but there is confusion among the opposition parties in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Bihar over seats and candidatures. Voting is to be held on eight seats of UP in the first phase. Of these, tremendous political drama took place on two seats of Rampur and Moradabad. Akhilesh Yadav changed the candidate from Moradabad seat at the last moment. MP ST Hasan had filed nomination on Tuesday, but on Wednesday Akhilesh Yadav sent Ruchi Veera to Moradabad by giving him the party’s election symbol. He also filed his nomination. Now there are two contenders on the Samajwadi Party symbol. However, in the evening Samajwadi Party made it clear that only Ruchi Veera will be the authorized candidate. Similarly, earlier Asim Raza was expected to contest the elections in Rampur, he was preparing, but on Wednesday Asim Raza and the District President of Samajwadi Party in Rampur had even announced to boycott the Lok Sabha elections. As soon as Samajwadi Party sent Maulana Mohibullah Nadvi to file nomination at the last moment on Wednesday, Asim Raza also filled the nomination form. Now two candidates of Samajwadi Party are in the fray in Rampur also. Voting is to be held in the first phase on April 19 on both Rampur and Moradabad seats. Samajwadi Party workers are confused. The question is who created this confusion? Does jailed Azam Khan have a role in this? Did this crisis arise at the behest of Azam Khan?

First let us talk about Moradabad. ST Hasan had filled his nomination papers on Tuesday with drums and made claims of victory. Since ST Hasan is the MP from Moradabad, yet Akhilesh Yadav kept his ticket pending and gave him the ticket late. S T Hasan filled the form but the game was over in the night. Late night news came that ST Hasan’s ticket from Moradabad had been canceled. Now former MLA Ruchi Veera will contest on Samajwadi Party ticket. Meanwhile, Ruchi Veera reached Moradabad from Lucknow, but as soon as Ruchi reached Moradabad, ST Hasan’s supporters started raising slogans against her. After this, Akhilesh Yadav sent Naresh Uttam and other Samajwadi Party leaders to Moradabad by chartered plane so that the situation could be kept under control. Ruchi Veera reached Moradabad to file her nomination, there were only a few people with her, there were no people who raised slogans or raised the party flag. Ruchi Veera filled the form before the end of time and submitted Form B with the election symbol of Samajwadi Party. It was revealed that ST Hasan’s card was cut on the orders of Azam Khan. Azam Khan is lodged in Sitapur jail but Akhilesh Yadav feels that Azam Khan still has a tremendous influence on the Muslim voters of Western Uttar Pradesh. Azam Khan can make or break the electoral equation even by staying in jail. That is why Akhilesh Yadav met Azam Khan in Sitapur jail to seek his opinion on the distribution of tickets on the seats of Western Uttar Pradesh. Azam Khan himself suggested the name of Ruchi Veera in place of ST Hasan on Moradabad seat, which Akhilesh accepted and canceled Hasan’s ticket overnight. Most of the leaders and workers of Samajwadi Party know that Ruchi Veera is close to Azam Khan, Ruchi Veera has been an MLA from Bijnor on SP ticket. No one will believe that Ruchi Veera is a bigger leader than ST Hasan, Akhilesh Yadav gave her the ticket only on the advocacy of Azam Khan. Later Hasan said that he did not know how this decision was taken, on whose advice it was taken and no need was felt to tell him. Hasan said a very subtle political thing. He said that the whole of India knows that in all the elections held since independence, except once, a Muslim candidate has won every election from Moradabad.

Both Maulana Mohibullah Nadvi and Asim Raza, Imam of Delhi’s Sansad Marg Mosque in Rampur, are claiming SP’s candidature. Maulana received orders from Lucknow on Tuesday night to reach Rampur, he has to fill the form from Rampur. Maulana Nadvi is a resident of Rampur but has been living in Delhi for the last 15 years. Maulana filled the form on Wednesday. Maulana Nadvi said that his name has been finalized by Akhilesh Yadav himself, on his instructions he has filled his nomination form. Samajwadi Party candidates are the same. Soon after this, Asim Raza, close to Azam Khan, also reached to fill the nomination. He also filed the form. Now the decision will be taken on March 30, the last day of withdrawal of nominations, as to who is the real candidate of SP. There is no doubt that Azam Khan has been in control of Rampur for a long time, he knows every nook and corner of Rampur. The children here recognize every child but now they are helpless. Are in jail. There are hundreds of cases against him. Yogi Adityanath ended his dominance in Rampur. Azam Khan’s candidates were defeated in Rampur but Azam Khan is not one to accept defeat easily. Even after being in jail, he can have a significant impact on the politics of this area. His suggestion that Akhilesh should contest from Rampur was good but Akhilesh is taking each step cautiously in these elections. For Akhilesh this election is a question of survival. Although he listens to Azam Khan but did not agree to contest elections from Rampur, that is why so much confusion was created. On the other hand, BJP has started a vigorous election campaign. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is campaigning in Meerut, Mathura, Ghaziabad. On March 30, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will start BJP’s election campaign from Meerut.

Maharashtra

In Maharashtra too, the anti-Modi front seems to be disintegrating. Prakash Ambedkar gave the first blow to Mahavikas Aghadi on Wednesday. He announced to contest separate elections and released the list of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi candidates on 8 seats. After this, Raju Shetty gave the second blow and said that his self-respecting Shetkari organization will not become a part of Mahavikas Aghadi. He will also contest the elections alone. After this, Uddhav Thackeray gave the biggest blow. Uddhav released the first list of his party candidates for 17 seats. There are many seats in this list on which Sharad Pawar’s party and Congress are also claiming. Right now talks are going on between the three parties but Uddhav did not wait for the decision, released the names of his candidates without talking to anyone. The seats on which Uddhav has fielded candidates include Sangli, North West Mumbai and South Central Mumbai. Congress wanted to field Vasantdada Patil’s grandson Vishal Patil from Sangli seat but Uddhav’s faction declared the name of Chandrahar Patil. Congress wanted to contest Varsha Gaikwad from South Central Mumbai seat but Uddhav gave the ticket to Anil Desai. Sanjay Nirupam of Congress was contesting from Mumbai North West seat but Uddhav gave the ticket to Amol Kirtikar. After releasing the list, Sanjay Raut said that Congress had also released the names of its ten candidates. In such a situation, if Uddhav Takre released the list of his candidates, then what crime has he committed? As soon as the list of Uddhav’s party was released, Congress leaders were the first to express their displeasure. Bala Saheb Thorat said that when talks are going on, no formula has been found, talks are stuck on some seats, then unilateral announcement of candidates is not right. Bala Saheb Thorat said that before announcing the candidates for Sangli and Mumbai seats, Uddhav’s party should have at least informed the Congress leaders. Thorat said that Congress had not given up its claim on these seats, then it is not right to announce the candidates without informing, this alliance is against religion, Uddhav should reconsider his decision. When Uddhav’s party MP Arvind Sawant was asked about Sanjay Nirupam’s statement, he said who Sanjay Nirupam? Then Priyanka Chaturvedi also said that is Sanjay Nirupam? Which post does he hold in Congress? In what capacity is he speaking? His words make no sense. Priyanka Chaturvedi said that Sanjay Nirupam’s language shows that he has prepared to join BJP. The big thing is that Sharad Pawar, who till now is trying to resolve the dispute between Uddhav Thackeray and Congress, is also angry with Uddhav’s move because Uddhav has also announced the names of candidates on those seats on which Sharad Pawar’s party is claiming. Was. Sharad Pawar had a claim on Mumbai North East but Uddhav gave the ticket to Sanjay Dina Patil. In protest against this, workers of Sharad Pawar’s NCP started protesting. Pawar said that Shiv Sena should have followed the coalition dharma, should have avoided making unilateral announcements without talks, it would have been better if all three parties had come together and announced the candidates. The rhetoric in the alliance of Mahavikas Aghadi is amazing. Uddhav Thackeray announced the seats unilaterally. Allies are surprised but Sanjay Raut is saying that whatever happened, happened with everyone’s consent. When Sanjay Nirupam from Congress expressed his displeasure over the announcement of seats, the people of Shiv Sena are saying who is Sanjay Nirupam? While Congress is calling the announcement of Mumbai seats premature, Sanjay Raut is saying that now we will also announce the candidate for North Mumbai seat. Sharad Pawar is upset that Uddhav Sena did not follow the coalition dharma but Anil Desai is saying that we respect each other’s views. The meaning is clear – the leaders of this alliance do one thing and say something else.

Bihar

The condition of anti-Modi front which is in Maharashtra is visible in Bihar. Here also the seat sharing formula has not been decided but Tejashwi Yadav has started distributing tickets to his candidates. Bima Bharti, who left JD-U and joined RJD five days ago, said that Lalu Yadav has asked her to contest elections from Purnia. Pappu Yadav is claiming the Purnia seat. In order to contest elections from Purnia, he even merged his party with Congress but RJD took a unilateral decision to field Bima Bharti. On Thursday, Pappu Yadav said that I will even commit suicide but will not leave Purnia and fight from anywhere. Pappu Yadav left the final decision to Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. Pappu Yadav has made Purnia seat a prestige issue. But there is conflict between RJD and Congress on many more seats also. Actually RJD initially wanted to give only 6 seats to Congress in Bihar, but Congress first asked for 15 seats and later said that at least 9 seats are required. Tejashwi Yadav met Congress leaders in Delhi on Tuesday. Congress got a total of 8 seats – Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Bettiah, Sasaram, Kishanganj, Katihar, Patna Sahib and Samastipur. But Congress is also claiming Purnia, Aurangabad and Begusarai. The problem is that out of these, RJD has already given Begusarai seat to CPI. Congress wanted to field Kanhaiya Kumar from Begusarai. Kanhaiya Kumar had contested the last election from Begusarai on CPI ticket, lost, then joined Congress, but now CPI is not ready to give up this seat for Kanhaiya Kumar. Similarly, on Aurangabad seat too, RJD has given its election symbol to Abhay Kushwaha, while Congress has a claim on this seat also. That is why the dispute is increasing and now there is little hope that it will be resolved easily. (Rajat Sharma)
