Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court will decide today whether Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will be sent to ED remand again in the liquor scam or whether he will be sent to judicial custody. The Central Investigation Agency has sought further remand of Kejriwal for 7 days. ED says that Kejriwal is not cooperating in the investigation. Let us tell you that ED had arrested Kejriwal on March 21 in the liquor scam, after which he was presented in the court on March 22. Last time, ED had sought 10 days’ remand of Kejriwal from the court but the court had sent him on 6 days’ remand. This time ED has asked for 7 days remand. Meanwhile, Kejriwal said in the court that “this is a political conspiracy.” The public will answer.

What did Kejriwal say?

  1. Kejriwal himself presented his arguments during the hearing in the excise policy case in the court. Kejriwal said in the court, four witnesses took my name in the excise policy case, are four statements enough to arrest a Chief Minister. A false picture of Aam Aadmi Party being corrupt is being presented before the country. He said, I am ready to face the ED investigation.
  2. Kejriwal said he would like to thank the ED officers and employees who have cooperated in the investigation so far. He further said, no court has found me guilty. ED and CBI have filed thousands of pages of report. I want to thank ED. This case has been going on for two years. If you read all the papers you will ask why was I arrested? On August 22, 2022, ED filed ECIR, I have been arrested. I have not been convicted in any court. ED has so far collected 31 thousand pages of documents and I am mentioned in only 4 statements.
  3. He further said, “Some documents have been given in the presence of Sisodia. MLA and many people come to my house. How do I know what he does? Is this statement alone enough to arrest me? After this, when the court asked why you were not giving all this in writing, Kejriwal said that I want to speak in the court. After which, continuing his talk, the Delhi CM said, just give me 5 minutes, I will also give a written statement to the court. Under pressure from ED, people are becoming witnesses and changing their statements. A CM will be arrested on the basis of just 4 statements whereas ED has thousands of pages proving my innocence. If there is a scam of Rs 100 crore then where did the scam money go? Actually the scam starts after the ED investigation.

CM’s wife and son were present in the court room

Let us tell you that during the hearing in Rouse Avenue Court today, apart from the ministers of Delhi Government, Arvind Kejriwal’s family was also present in the court room. Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal and his son were present during the appearance of the Delhi Chief Minister in the court. Along with this, two ministers of Aam Aadmi Party government, Atishi and Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj were present.
