This is the story of Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania alias Patty (Hrithik Roshan) and his team. Patty’s team includes Squadron Leader Minal Rathore alias Mini (Deepika Padukone), Squadron Leader Sartaj Gill alias Taj (Karan Singh Grover), Squadron Leader Bashir Khan alias Bash (Akshay Oberoi) and fighter pilot Sukhi. Then he is a part of Team Dragon, which has been prepared by Squadron Leader Rakesh Jaisingh alias Rocky (Anil Kapoor) for first response in emergency. Patty is the best fighter pilot of the Air Force, but her CO Rocky does not like her from the beginning.
Patty is handsome and the best at his job, but still there is a sadness in his eyes. He is carrying with him the burden of some mistakes, which he cannot correct and is not able to move forward from them. Whereas Mini is living her life alone after becoming a fighter pilot against the wishes of her family. When both of them met while being part of a team, it was natural for them to fall in love with each other. But the film is not about their romance, but about their bravery and our soldiers.
There are some tremendous twists in the story of ‘Fighter’ that shake the entire Air Force and India including Patty and Meenal. How this team will face its difficulties and what will be the consequences of the actions and audacity of the enemies, is something to be seen in the film.
Siddharth Anand did wonders
First of all let’s talk about director Siddharth Anand. In the year 2019, Siddharth had brought the film ‘War’ with Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. That film had explosive action sequences and story, which made the audience happy. After this he made Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Pathan’ and now he has brought ‘Fighter’. For Siddharth Anand, it can now be said that he has become an expert in patriotic films.
In the film ‘Fighter’, along with a good story, he has also included explosive action, aerial action and emotions. The film talks about soldiers with depth. It definitely starts with Patty showing off, but after this, the flight on which the film takes you, you will not feel like coming back. The first half of the movie is full of excitement and fun-filled moments. Whereas in the second half, there is such a mixture of emotions and high energy that you will enjoy watching it and your tears will also flow.
The first half of this film fills you with enthusiasm and the second half makes you cry. ‘Fighter’ keeps you engaged from beginning to end. Its editing is quite crisp and VFX are also good. It has amazing aerial action which leaves your eyes teary-eyed. Siddharth Anand has made this first aerial action film of Bollywood with great effort.

His excellent star cast complements Siddharth’s excellent writing and direction. Hrithik Roshan is amazing in the role of Patty. Hrithik Roshan, who is called the Greek God of Bollywood, remains in everyone’s mind for his handsome looks and hunky body. But with ‘Fighter’ he has once again proved that apart from being a handsome person, he is also an excellent actor and we should not forget this. Hrithik’s action, his stunts, his attitude, his dialogues and his emotions are all on point.
Apart from Hrithik Roshan, Anil Kapoor has played his role wholeheartedly. Anil is one of the best actors in the industry and he is proving this again in the film. The anger of his character Rocky, his frustrations and his feelings about his team and his loved ones reach your heart. Deepika Padukone has also done a great job in the role of Mini. Be it the eye-to-eye romance with Hrithik, his confidence while flying the plane or his support for her team, Deepika does everything with ease. The chemistry between Hrithik and Deepika is very good. Had it been explored a little more, the screens would have definitely been on fire.
Akshay Oberoi’s work in the supporting cast is quite good. Karan Singh Grover has given him full support. It was quite refreshing to see Karan on the big screen after so long. The work of Sanjeeda Shaikh, Talat Aziz, Mushtaq Kak and other supporting actors is also amazing. Everyone is fitting perfectly into their roles and their hard work is clearly visible. The songs of the film have already become fans’ favourites. The placement of the song Sher Khul Gaye is a bit abrupt. But apart from this, the rest of the songs fit perfectly into the film. The background score of the movie is also quite good. Overall, if you want to have a good weekend then you can think of giving ‘Fighter’ a chance.
