Due to not being able to afford expensive treatment, the hospital management referred the patient to Hamidia Hospital. The woman died during treatment on Sunday afternoon. It took 4.30 hours to complete the paperwork to conduct the post-mortem. When it came to conducting the post-mortem, the police asked to call five people to prepare the Panchnama, by the time it was evening the doctor also gave up on conducting the post-mortem. Due to which the son had to wake up in front of the mortuary in the harsh cold.

On the other hand, in this case the police say that since the woman died under suspicious circumstances, it is necessary for a woman officer to be present during the investigation and investigation. It is mandatory for Panchnama to be accompanied by five known people.

Mahesh Keer, originally a resident of Rehti, works as a labourer. On Friday night, his mother, 63-year-old Phoolwati Keer, had consumed phenyl kept in the house. When his condition worsened, he took his mother to Narmadapuram for treatment. There he was admitted to a private hospital. Seeing the serious condition of the patient, the hospital management referred him to Hamidia Hospital. His mother died during treatment at around 12 noon on Sunday. The doctor told that the cause of death was due to drinking acid, hence post mortem of the dead body will have to be done. For this, he was asked to contact the police post of Kohefiza police station located in the Hamidia Hospital premises.

Police kept the body in the mortuary

On receiving information about the death under suspicious circumstances, the police, after doing the necessary investigation, took custody of the body and kept it in the mortuary. Mahesh alleges that he kept asking the police repeatedly to get the post-mortem done immediately, but the police did not pay attention to him. At around 4:30 in the evening, he was asked to call five members of the family to prepare the Panchnama of the dead body. He didn’t know anyone in the city. Because of this it was not possible to gather five people. Meanwhile, as it was evening, the doctors also refused to do the post-mortem. Finally he sent the information to his home in Rehti, 75 kilometers away from the city. He had to spend the whole night around the cemetery waiting for their arrival. Finally, on Monday afternoon, after the post-mortem was conducted, the mother’s body was handed over to him.

On the other hand, in this case, Kohefija police station in-charge Brijendra Marskole says that it was a case of death of the woman under suspicious circumstances. A female officer had to be called to investigate him. Making Panchnama of the dead body for post-mortem is part of the legal process. Doctors do not do post-mortem after evening. Because of this, the post-mortem of the woman could be done on Monday.
