BCCI mandates player participation in next round of Ranji Trophy matches: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given a strong message to many players of Team India through gestures. BCCI and National Selectors have now shown strictness in this regard. The directive, communicated to several players via email on Monday, applies to those who are not currently part of the national team or undergoing rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.

With immediate effect, it has been made mandatory for these players to join their respective state teams for the upcoming round of Ranji Trophy matches starting from 16th February.

Regarding this, the BCCI official said, ‘Players cannot give priority only to international cricket or IPL, they have to keep themselves available for domestic cricket and honor their commitments to their respective state teams.
