In the midst of the conflict over the Assam-Mizoram border dispute, provocative comments have also come to the fore on social media, which is being investigated by the police. The Assam government fears a big conspiracy behind this propaganda that went on between the deaths of six Assam Police personnel in the conflict. In an internal investigation, Chief Minister Hemant Biswa Sharma has expressed displeasure over Twitter trending with Shame on Assam hashtag from Delhi and America. Describing the matter as very serious, he has said to expose the conspiracy behind it.

In fact, on Monday, the matter over the border dispute between Assam-Mizoram had turned into a violent clash. Six Assam Police personnel were killed in the border clash. After which the matter got heated. The Home Ministry also took this matter very seriously. Meanwhile, a hashtag called Shame on Assam trended on Twitter. According to sources, the internal investigation of the Assam government found that about 2000 fake accounts were created and provocative tweets were made against the Assam government. More than 68 percent of these tweets were from the US. Shockingly, the fans of Korean bands were also instigated to tweet against the Assam government.

After the matter came to his notice, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma tweeted and said, “This is a serious matter. We will get to the bottom of who is behind this? It is being told that a conspiracy was hatched from the international level to tarnish the image of Assam. Most of the more than two thousand fake Twitter handles that were used in trending against Assam were bots handles. Their IP address was also changed. Automated tweeting was done through bots special software tools. More than 68 percent of tweets came from the US.

Significantly, the border dispute between Assam and Mizoram has been going on for the last several years. However, never before had there been an incident of violent clashes in which police personnel were killed. The dispute between Assam and Mizoram has now become more serious. During the clashes in the past, 6 soldiers of Assam were killed, while more than 50 people were also injured during the clash.

Tension has increased between the two states due to the confrontation on the border of Assam and Mizoram. The Ministry of Home Affairs is keeping an eye on the entire development and taking measures to maintain peace. A 12-hour bandh was called on Wednesday in the Barak Valley following violent clashes. In October last year also, a situation of conflict had arisen between Assam and Mizoram, although the matter between the two states was going on peacefully after the intervention of the Ministry of Home Affairs, but once again the situation looks serious.
