A three-day Chhattisgarh State Power Companies inter-regional volleyball competition was organized from 8 to 10 February at the sports ground located in the residential complex of Atal Bihari Thermal Power Plant, Madwa. In the final match of the competition, DSPM Korba East team defeated HTPS Korba West 3 – 2 and captured the cup.

Naiduniya News Janjgir – Champa. A three-day Chhattisgarh State Power Companies inter-regional volleyball competition was organized from 8 to 10 February at the sports ground located in the residential complex of Atal Bihari Thermal Power Plant, Madwa. In the final match of the competition, the team of DSPM Korba East defeated HTPS Korba West 3 – 2 and captured the cup. In the closing ceremony, the chief guest, Executive Director SK Banjara handed over the winner trophy to the players of the winning team DSPM Korba East.
Executive Director Banjara said that he is happy that all the players displayed sportsmanship at a high level. He congratulated and congratulated all the players of the region. The final match of the competition was very exciting. In the first and third set match, DSPM Korba East team was very aggressive on HTTPS Korba West. But in the fourth set of the match, Korba West team made a comeback in the match by playing in defence. Korba East defeated Korba West in the fifth set. After winning the match, the players of Korba East team celebrated the victory with fireworks.
Earlier in the semi-final match, Korba East team defeated Raipur Central team 2-1. In the second match of the semi-finals, Korba West won 2 – 0 over ABVTPS Madwa. Additional Chief Engineer Praveen Srivastava, coordinator of this sports competition, said that along with all the players in the competition, the team of host Madwa and the members of the management committee cooperated fully to complete the competition. Srivastava has appreciated the cooperation of the implementation committee, organizing committee, publicity arrangement committee, vehicle arrangement committee and medical team. Rajkumar Verma did commentary in all the matches in the three-day competition. Apart from the residential colony, nearby villagers and players enjoyed the sports competition for three days.
18 players selected for national competition
Executive Director SK Banjara announced the names of 18 players selected for the national competition in the presence of Central Observer Hitesh Mahanand in the closing ceremony. These include Neeraj Verma, Abhishek Naidu, Shailendra Paikra, Santosh Paikra, Rajesh Sharma, Khelan Yadav, Anil Baig, Gajanand Netam, Shailesh Dewangan, Krishnapal Kanwar, Satish Chaudhary, Prashant Oraon, Ramesh Khamhari, Atul Rai, Nishant Dewangan, Vinay Kumar Kar, Dinesh Dewangan and Pardes Kumar are included.
