Naiduniya News Bishrampur. On Monday, a student riding a motorcycle died at the accident site after being hit by a speeding school bus on Bishrampur Kumda Colony road. Angered by the incident, people created a ruckus for three hours by placing dead bodies on the road in front of the General Manager’s office, demanding huge chaos in school bus operations and compensation to the relatives of the deceased. The agitators calmed down after the assurance.
Let us tell you that a private school bus has been contracted by SECL Bishrampur Regional Management to take the children of Kumda Colony to Bishrampur School. On Monday morning, student Karan Yadav, father of Yamuna Yadav, 14, resident of mine-affected village Govindpur, came to Ambedkar Chowk Bishrampur on a Pulsar motorcycle to drop his cousin sister to college. From there he was returning home on a motorcycle at around quarter to ten. At the same time, near Baba Mastnath Temple on Bishrampur Kumda Colony Road, the driver of Mahamaya Singh School Bus No. CG 15 AB 0816, which was coming at a high speed from Kumda Colony side, while driving carelessly, hit the bus hard. Student Karan Yadav, who was seriously injured due to this, died at the accident site. The deceased student Karan Yadav was studying in class ninth in Government Higher Secondary School, Kumda Colony. After the accident, the driver left the bus on the spot and ran away.
Made a traffic jam by keeping the dead body-
Angered by the incident, dozens of people from Govindpur and Kumda Colony created a ruckus by placing the dead body in front of the Regional General Manager office of SECL and creating a ruckus regarding the huge disorganization of the school bus. The angry people alleged that SECL has arranged for two school buses, but children are crowded in a single school bus. Parents are very upset due to school bus not operating on time and huge chaos. The management also ignores the complaint. The agitators were demanding financial assistance to the relatives of the deceased students and removal of the chaos prevailing in school bus operations. During this, dozens of people including Prafulla Nahak, Satyawan Nahak, Golu Pathak, Sushant Vishwas, Mani Lakra, Awadhesh Kushwaha, Tameshwar Rajwade, Lalan Singh, Azad, Mittal Pandey, Rajesh, Dharamjeet, Vishnu were present.
The agitators calmed down after the assurance-
In the presence of SDM Jagannath Verma, Naib Tehsildar MR Manikpuri TI Ulrich Lakra, the agitators had a discussion with in-charge General Manager Sanjay Singh in the conference room of the General Manager’s office. He assured to immediately repair the school bus system and cooperate with the police in the investigation of the said incident. During this time, SECL management gave assistance of Rs 25 thousand to the relatives of the deceased. An assurance of Rs 25 thousand was given by the administration. After that the traffic jam ended. Here, Bishrampur police has registered a crime under Section 304A against the unknown driver and seized the school bus.
