Despite the strictness of the Center and the State regarding the incidents of caste violence in Manipur, the situation has not improved. However, there has been some softening within the last few days. But the situation has become tense. In such a situation, the Central Government has asked for a serious discussion on the issue in the House. Due to uproar in the monsoon session of the Parliament, the government has now appealed to the opposition to create an atmosphere of discussion in the House. In the House on Tuesday, Home Minister Amit Shah said that the Central Government has written a letter to the opposition regarding this.
The issue of caste violence in Manipur continued in both the Houses during the Monsoon session of the Parliament. The opposition is demanding PM Modi’s statement regarding the current situation in Manipur. On the other hand, the government is saying that it wants an atmosphere of discussion in the House and the opposition is trying to stay away from the discussion. On Tuesday (July 25), Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the government has nothing to fear from the discussion on Manipur. While the opposition is not allowing the atmosphere for discussion to be created.
The Home Minister said in the House that a letter has also been written to the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha to discuss the situation in Manipur. He said, “The government has no fear to hold a long discussion on Manipur. The public is watching you. Go to the polls. Keep in mind the fear of the public. Create a proper atmosphere in the House for the sensitive issue.”
Apart from this, while replying to the discussion on the Multi State Cooperative Amendment Bill, the Home Minister said that the opposition is no longer interested in the welfare of Dalits, women and cooperatives. But the government is serious in this direction. Home Minister Amit Shah said that the central government is going to bring a new cooperative before Vijayadashami or Diwali this year, under which cooperative sector facilities will be available to the people in a more transparent manner than the old policy.
