Reigns started his career with WWE and first went to FCW. In 2012, he made his main roster debut as part of The Shield. After Seth Rollins broke up The Shield, Reigns became one of the top superstars and main-evented his first Wrestlemania in 2015 against Brock Lesnar.
Even though it took him some time to win the Universal Championship, Reigns remained the Big Dog and main evented Wrestlemania 31 against Triple H. In 2017, he became only the 2nd superstar to defeat The Undertaker at Wrestlemania. In 2018, he once again main-evented Wrestlemania against Lesnar. In 2021, Reigns successfully defended his Universal Championship in Wrestlemania’s main event against Edge and Daniel Bryan while at Wrestlemania 38, he finally defeated Lesnar in the main event to walk out of AT&T Stadium with two championships.
Reigns hasn’t been pinned since his comeback in 2020 and has been retaining his Universal Championship since then. He recently hinted at retiring from in-ring action and Reigns isn’t expected to defend his championship in every premium live event. In fact, he has not defended his championship since Wrestlemania 38.
