The actress told her followers on Twitter that on this date, in 1980, she tied the knot with Dharmendra. Both of them were at the peak of their careers at the time. The couple have two daughters – Ahana and Esha – together. Sharing a photo of her and her husband together, the ‘Seeta Aur Geeta’ actress tweeted, “Our wedding anniversary is today. I thank God for all these years of happiness, our darling children and grandchildren, our well wishers everywhere! I feel truly blessed.”

In another tweet, the yesteryear actress said, “I would like to thank thousands of well wishers who have been inquiring about Dharam ji’s health. Yes, he was in hospital for a few days but he is ok now and thankfully back home. Thank you all once again for your anxious calls and inquiries about his health??God has been kind.”
After Dharmendra was discharged from the hospital on Sunday, the ‘Chupke Chupke’ actor posted a video on his social media platforms to tell his fans that he is doing better. The actor said, “friends, don’t overdo anything. I did that, and suffered from a big muscle pull on my back, so I had to make a trip to the hospital. The tw0-four days I spent there, I was in a lot of difficulty… Anyways, I am back, with your good wishes, and god’s blessings. Don’t worry, from now on, I will be very careful.”

After four days of hospitalisation, veteran actor Dharmendra Deol finally returned home on Sunday, May 1. The ‘Sholay’ star took to his Twitter account to share the cause of his hospital visit with his fans, and also thanked his well wishers for all the prayers in a short video clip.
The actor, who is the father of Sunny, Bobby and Esha Deol, and the husband of Hema Malini had been one of the biggest Bollywood stars in the 70s. He began his film journey with Arjun Hingorani’s ‘Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere’ in 1960 and rose to fame with films like ‘Sholay’, ‘Chupke Chupke’, ‘Yaadon Ki Baaraat’ and ‘Seeta Aur Geeta’.
The actor will be seen next in Karan Johar’s big directorial venture ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ that stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in lead roles, and has yesteryear actresses Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi playing special characters.
