Indore Dr Jitendra Vyas Column: Dr. Jitendra Vyas, Indore, New Dunia. Even though the assembly elections in the state are far away, but the activism of the organization has kept the sleep of the office bearers to the legislators. Now take BJP’s voter pairing campaign running across the state. In-charge of the division Bhagwandas Sabnani, where the small polling stations of the districts are running. At the same time, the intelligence team of the organization is preparing the report card of the MLAs in the assembly constituency. The campaign is in the final stage, but in the report reaching the organization, there is a message of better work in the area number one, two and Rau of the city, while normal work has been done in three, four, five and Sanwer. The worst situation was in Depalpur and Mhow assembly constituencies. Here the campaign has not progressed beyond the rituals. Troubled by this espionage, the legislators started preparing an umbrella of answers even before the barrage of questions came.
Meaning of ‘hostel politics’ in the economic capital
In Indore city, which is called the financial capital of the state, suddenly the inquiries of students living in SC-ST hostels have increased. Sometimes BJP officials and sometimes officials are reaching the hostels and knowing the well being of the people living there. The hostel residents are also surprised by their so much ‘concern’. In fact, the seed of this concern was planted in the presence of the Chief Minister during the sloganeering in the program of the students. Taking serious note of the problems of the students, the Chief Minister had expressed displeasure with the local officials and BJP functionaries. The government, which is preparing for the assembly elections, does not want to antagonize the young voters of Malwa-Nimar region, but through them also wants to get the message of ‘everything is good’ in their respective areas. It was this source that activated ‘hostel politics’. Now it remains to be seen how effective the hostel politics proves to be.
Neither donation nor election, then why take the stress of online meetings
These days BJP officials and workers are very upset with online meetings and programs. The office-bearer who holds the meeting of the workers of the divisional or ward, starts sweating. In fact, due to the postponement of the urban body elections and the assembly elections too far away, the workers are also not taking interest in online events. As soon as we get the invitation of meetings to be held every fifteen days, we get the most reasons like marriage, somewhere out of town, if not feeling well. Some workers giving direct answers even without hesitation even speak to the officials – brother, there is no donation or election, then why are you giving tension for meetings without any reason. The officers are getting hurt the most. They are neither able to explain to the workers, nor are they able to give correct information to the seniors.
The satraps engaged in research… why the new leadership is not being prepared
In the shadow of politics, the Malwa-Nimar region is called the corridor of power. In this region with 66 assembly seats, 22 seats are tribal-dominated. Even after exerting full force, the BJP faces a lack of new leadership in tribal seats in almost every election. Before the by-elections or elections, local leaders also keep trying to break into other parties. This time the BJP state leadership has given the responsibility to the leaders of this area to find out why the new leadership is not able to join. Since then, MPs and youth MLAs from districts like Jhabua-Ratlam, Barwani are active in tribal-dominated areas with this agenda. There is also a concern that before the elections, the raag jais may not start playing again in the politics of the region.
