He said that strong law and order and accountable good governance in the state is the basic mantra of the state government. There is a zero tolerance policy towards crime in the state and the responsibility of converting it into reality rests with the District Superintendents of Police.

CM Gehlot directed that all district SPs should discharge their duties with full devotion and dedication to protect the law, effectively prevent crimes and bring justice to the victims. He also said that the status of development and investment in any state depends on its law and order.
He said that it is the responsibility of the Superintendents of Police of the district to maintain an atmosphere of peace and harmony in the state and also to present a clean and fair image of the police. He further said that the complaints of the people coming to the police stations should be heard seriously. This will strengthen the confidence of the general public in the police.

At the same time, it was also emphasized that the police should make such efforts so that the complainant does not have to come to the Chief Minister’s Office or any other higher level. Chief Minister Gehlot directed the officers to make preparations to bring a law for effective prevention of organized crime in the upcoming assembly session.
He added that the rise of organized crime, including the illegal drug trade, poses a great threat to future generations. He said that strict action should also be taken against the sale of narcotics on National Highways.
