Lawyers argued for bail
Sadhu Kalicharan Maharaj’s lawyers Pappu Shriram Morwal and Samridhi Dhavan Patil argued for his bail that the incidents for which Kalicharan Maharaj was arrested took place in Raipur and Pune and not Thane. Hence, there is no need to keep him in Thane jail.

However, a court in Pune granted bail to Kalicharan Maharaj after which he was sent to Raipur jail. Wardha police arrested Maharaj from Raipur by submitting a production warrant.
