The BJP has announced the candidates for the first and second phase of the 2022 UP assembly elections. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will contest from Gorakhpur city while Keshav Prasad Maurya will contest from Sirathu seat of Prayagraj. Mriganka Singh will be the BJP candidate from Kairana assembly seat.
Party’s UP in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan has released the list by holding a press conference. The BJP has announced candidates for 57 out of 58 seats in the first phase and 48 out of 55 seats in the second phase. BJP has declared Shrikant Sharma as its candidate from Mathura seat. He is the energy minister in the Yogi government. Surendra Tomar has been nominated from Meerut South and Vikram Saini from Khatauli.
The UP in-charge has claimed that like in 2017, BJP is once again going to form the government in UP with a thumping majority. He said that in 2017 the people had given the mandate of a thumping majority to the BJP. In the backward five years, the Yogi government has banned the rioters and the corrupt. Now a woman can come out of the house even at 12 o’clock in the night in the state. The law and order situation in the state has improved.
A network of infrastructure is being laid in the state. Jevon Airport is being built. Expressway is being built. It is the effect of the policies of the BJP government that today UP is not a BIMARU state but is moving towards becoming the head of development. He said that we have full faith that the people of UP will once again win more than 300 seats.
