Political heat has increased for the upcoming assembly elections. The round of meetings has also started to decide the names of the candidates in the elections. Today, the Election Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is also going to meet (Assembly Elections 2021) in view of the upcoming assembly elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Narendra Modi) can also participate in this meeting along with senior BJP leaders. In the meeting today, there will be a brainstorm regarding the candidates in 5 electoral states including West Bengal and Assam. After which the list of candidates can be released soon.
Today also the meeting of leaders of Bengal at Shah’s residence
There will also be a meeting of West Bengal BJP Core Group at 11 am today at the residence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. All the leaders of Bengal have reached Delhi late on Wednesday night. Today BJP can finalize the names of about 60 candidates from West Bengal. There are 30 seats in the first phase. Everyone’s eyes are on the Nandigram assembly seat, from where Mamta Banerjee has announced to contest the assembly elections. In such a situation, the BJP’s charioteer is eyeing who will be there. According to information received from sources, the BJP can field Suvendu Adhikari against Mamata. However, the election is in the second phase here.
Names of 30 to 40 candidates in Assam may be stamped
On the other hand, for Assam also today, BJP can finalize the names of 30 to 40 candidates. Earlier, a joint meeting was held on Wednesday evening at the residence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. After which there was a brainstorm at the home of BJP president JP Nadda. In the meeting held at Shah’s residence, there was also an agreement on the seat-sharing between the BJP and its allies in Assam. JP Nadda, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, State BJP President Ranjit Das, AGP President and State Government Minister Atul Bora, UPPL chief Pramod Boro, BJP leader and Minister Hemant Vishwa Sarma were also present.
TMC may release the list on Friday
On the other hand, it is believed that Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress may also release its first list of candidates in West Bengal on Friday. Sources say that Mamta Banerjee will release the list of TMC candidates this time as in the previous elections. If a TMC leader is to be believed, before the announcement of voting dates on February 27, TMC had prepared a draft list for the candidates. All 294 candidates can be declared simultaneously. Apart from this, TMC can release its election manifesto on 9 March.
