With this, the total number of infections in the country has increased to 1,11,56,923. At the same time, 89 patients died due to corona in the last 24 hours, due to which the total number of people lost to corona in the country has risen to 1,57,435.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, 14,031 corona patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. With this, 1,08,26,075 patients in the country have been successful in beating the corona virus so far. The number of patients recovering is small compared to the new corona cases recorded on a daily basis. This has led to a steady increase in the number of active cases of corona. At present there are 1,73,413 active cases of corona in the country. The second phase of the world’s largest Kovid vaccination campaign is underway in the country. At the same time, 1,66,16,048 people have been given the Kovid vaccine in the country so far.

In the country last year, the number of infected reached 20 lakh on August 7, 30 lakh on 23 August and 40 lakh on 5 September. The total cases of infection had crossed 50 lakh on 16 September, 60 lakh on 28 September, 70 lakh on 11 October, 80 lakh on 29 October and 90 lakh on 20 November and one crore on 19 December.
