Patna.
Upendra Kushwaha founded the Rashtriya Samata Party in February 2009 which was supported by the then Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Chhagan Bhujbal. Subsequently in November 2009, Rashtriya Samata Party was merged into JDU because of the good relationship between Upendra Kushwaha and Nitish Kumar. But on 4 January 2013, the then Rajya Sabha MP and JDU leader Upendra Kushwaha resigned from the party. Two months later, on 03 March 2013, Upendra Kushwaha formed the Rashtriya Lok Samata Party at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. For this reason, there is a discussion in the political corridor that Upendra Kushwaha can once again merge his party into Janata Dal United.

Nitish Kumar wants Rashtriya Lok Samata Party merged with JDU!
Sources reveal that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is willing to forget all the old things and bring Upendra Kushwaha with him. According to the same information, RLSP chief Upendra Kushwaha is also ready to go with Nitish Kumar in the present situation. But Upendra Kushwaha has not yet decided whether he will join the NDA or merge his party Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) into JDU (JDU). According to information received from the source, Nitish Kumar has asked Upendra Kushwaha to merge his party into JDU.

Former JDU state president Vashisht Narayan Singh also said that the final decision has to be taken by Upendra Kushwaha. So can the party supremo Upendra Kushwaha take any major decision on the eighth foundation day of the Rashtriya Lok Samata Party on Wednesday, 3 March. Please tell that there have been reports of RLSP merging in JDU many times. Although Upendra Kushwaha denied the talk of the merger, but the way things were said on his behalf, it tells only some other story.

Upendra Kushwaha will fit into Nitish Kumar’s Love-Kush equation!
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has appointed the national president and state president under the Luv Kush equation in his party. Now under this equation, preparations are being made to bring Upendra Kushwaha back to JDU. According to information received from the source, Upendra Kushwaha is also ready to send JDU from his quota to the Bihar Legislative Council and make him a minister in the Bihar government. Explain that after the cabinet expansion on February 9, the total number of ministers in the Bihar government is 31, that is, five more ministers can be made, one of which can be named Upendra Kushwaha. Significantly, Upendra Kushwaha has been the Union Minister of State for Human Resources in the Narendra Modi government – 1 at the Center.

Nitish also needs Upendra to strengthen the organization
Unhappy with the election results of the Assembly elections 2020, Nitish Kumar has taken several steps towards strengthening the party. Significantly, in 2015, when he contested elections along with Lalu Prasad Yadav, JDU got 70 seats. But when Nitish Kumar contested the election in the NDA while returning home, his party was reduced to just 43 seats. This is the reason that Nitish Kumar is once again looking to strengthen his old equation Love – Kush i.e. Kurmi – Kushwaha vote bank. Under this, Nitish Kumar himself resigned from the national president of JDU and made RCP Singh, the national general secretary of his party coming from the Kurmi caste, the national president of the party.

After this, on January 10, 2021, Nitish Kumar made the state president of the party, Umesh Singh Kushwaha, who had lost the assembly elections in the state executive meeting. However, the aim of making Umesh Singh Kushwaha the state president of the party was to attract the Kushwaha community towards the JDU. But Upendra Kushwaha’s hold on the Kushwaha society is trying to bring him back to the JDU.

Upendra Kushwaha will complete LJP deficiency
Sources in the Rashtriya Lok Samata Party said that in response to speculation about RLSP merging into JDU, RLSP leaders said that anything is possible in politics. So, should it be assumed that the LJP shortage will be met by merging the RLSP with the JDU. Because during the assembly elections, the BJP made it clear that the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) is not part of the alliance in the elections. In such a situation, it is believed that the entry of Upendra Kushwaha is being done to maintain strength after the departure of Lok Janshakti Party, the party of the late Ram Vilas Paswan. That is, Nitish Kumar now uses Upendra Kushwaha as a weapon to answer the attack of Chirag Paswan.

National Lok Samata Party is shattered
Upendra Kushwaha, who formed the party on 03 March 2013, joined the NDA and contested 3 parliamentary seats in Sitamarhi, Karakat and Jehanabad in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and won all. Upendra Kushwaha himself was elected from Karakat constituency and was appointed as the Minister of State for Human Resource Development in the Central Government. A year later, the RLSP contested the 2015 Bihar Legislative Assembly elections on 23, but could win only two seats.

After this, the party was divided into two factions of Upendra Kushwaha and another Jehanabad MP Arun Kumar. After this, in 2018, the Rashtriya Lok Samata Party left the NDA and joined the Grand Alliance. But Upendra Kushwaha’s party, which contested 5 seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, could not win a single seat. Two MLAs of the RLSP and a Legislative Councilor joined the JDU after this election.

RLSP Chief Upendra Kushwaha formed the ‘Grand Democratic Secular Front’ alliance for the Bihar Assembly Elections 2020. The alliance included Asaduddin Owaisi’s All India Majlis A Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) as well as the Samajwadi Party Democratic, Democratic Party Socialist and RLSP (RLSP). RLSP President Upendra Kushwaha was also declared as the Chief Ministerial candidate on behalf of the alliance.

But in the 2020 Assembly elections, AIMIM, which was included in the Grand Democratic Secular Front (GDSF), got five and BSP got the only seat. Remind you that the BSP’s only MLA is now a member of the JDU and has also become a minister of the Bihar government. At the same time, the party of Chief Minister candidate Upendra Kushwaha from the alliance could not win a single seat.
