I will talk on Bengal later, AIMIM will contest elections in Tamil Nadu: Owaisi
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday did not favor Indian Secular Front (ISF) leader Abbas Siddiqui’s support for the Left-Congress alliance in West Bengal. But he said that he would speak in detail on the issue at the appropriate time.
Owaisi had earlier held talks with ISF leader Siddiqui regarding the West Bengal assembly elections. Siddiqui attended a rally in Kolkata on Sunday and announced his support for the Left and the Congress.
When asked about this, Owaisi said that a poet said, ‘I had gone alone, Janib-e-Manzil, people came and became caravans.’ This is the answer to your question. I will answer it at the appropriate time. Asked about Siddiqui quitting AIMIM, he said that he would say something about it at an appropriate time.
Owaisi said that his party will contest elections in Tamil Nadu as well. He said that we will definitely contest in Tamil Nadu. Five years ago we also contested there.
