About the incident, APC Prateek Kumar said that after this tragic incident, the police administration has given financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh each to the family of the two deceased. Apart from this, arrangements are being made to transport the body of Chhapara police station in-charge Nilesh Perteti to Chhindwara. He will be cremated here.
According to the information, the station in-charge and constable riding in the scorpies were returning from Kanhwada area on last night via Kalarbanki-Bandol to Chhapara police station. His car rammed into a nearby well after colliding with a transformer installed on a roadside field near Pauri village. Nilesh Paratei and Chandkumar Chaudhary died on the spot after falling in a well filled with water.
The villagers, who arrived at the farm between 6 and 7 am on Saturday, 27 February, saw the traces of the accident and the Scorpio falling in the well. He reported the incident to the police. On receiving the information, top officials including Bundol police station reached the spot. Police have taken out the dead bodies and crashed Scorpions. The bodies have been sent to the district hospital for postmortem.
The police department is shocked by the accident. The police station in-charge Paratei was a resident of Chhindwara. For the past two years, he was in charge of the Chhapara police station in-charge. It is being told that constable Chandkumar Chaudhary was originally a resident of Bakhari village in the district. He was living in Balaghat district with family for many years.
