Indore city of Madhya Pradesh has been achieving the cleanest city of India for the last four years continuously, but the air of Indore is the most polluted among the big cities of the state, while the air of Gwalior is the cleanest.

The Central Pollution Control Board on Friday has informed about the change in the level of pollution in the air in the last one year in four major cities of Madhya Pradesh. According to the board, Gwalior’s air quality index was 103 and Bhopal’s 133 on Friday. At the same time, the air quality index of Jabalpur was 142 and Indore was 151.

There is no improvement in the air of the capital
According to the data of Central Pollution Control Board, there has been no significant change in the level of air pollution in the state capital Bhopal in the last one year, but the air quality index of Jabalpur has become worse than before. It is a matter of relief for the people that the air quality index of Gwalior has improved. The level of air pollution in Indore, which is the cleanest city, remains very worrying.

The air quality index of Bhopal on February 26, 2020 was 139, which has now increased to 133. A year ago, its level in Indore was 176, which has now come down to 151. The highest decrease has come in Gwalior’s Air Quality Index. The air pollution level in Gwalior was 188 in February 2020, which has now come down to 103. At the same time, the air quality index of Jabalpur increased from 118 to 142 in a year.

Let us know that Indore was declared the cleanest city in India for the fourth consecutive year. After Indore, the second place in the Cleanliness Survey Award 2020 was Surat and third place was Navi Mumbai. Varanasi, the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been declared the ‘best city on the banks of the Ganges’. Varanasi is followed by Kanpur, Munger, Prayagraj and Haridwar in this list.
