In view of the increasing case of Corona, the Tamil Nadu government has extended the lockdown till March 31 in the state. Under this notification, the district administration has been directed to take action on the violation of the protocol related to Corona. Police and municipal officials have been asked to ensure maximum compliance in the contention zone so that any infection can be avoided.

Public-private offices, shops and industrial establishments under lockdown will have presence of small number of employees in different time periods. The government has said that the administration should appeal to people to wear masks and take care of physical distance to promote proper behavior related to Corona. In this notification, people above 65 years of age and children below 10 years have been asked to take precautions. At the same time, the ban on international flights by DGCA will also apply in the state.

479 new cases of corona in Tamil Nadu
In Tamil Nadu, 479 new cases of infection with the corona virus were reported, while three patients died. The total number of infected people in Tamil Nadu has increased to 8.51 lakhs, while the number of dead has increased to 12,496.
