New Delhi. After the G-23 meeting in Jammu on Saturday, Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said in a special conversation with India TV that the country needs a strong opposition. There is no opposition in the country that frightens the government at this time. The Congress is weak for many decades, not today. We will roam all over the country to strengthen the Congress. Today is the call of the hour to keep secularism alive. The country needs a strong opposition.

‘Commendation does not mean that I go to BJP’

Ghulam Nabi Azad further said that Atal ji has also praised me many times in Parliament. Praising does not mean that I go to BJP. At the G-23 meeting in Jammu, Ghulam Nabi Azad said that I have come into politics influenced by Gandhiji’s truth and non-violence. To me, high-caste, caste-religion is nothing. Proud of my politics started with Gandhiji’s ideology. It is not right to form a government only in the name of religion. Our greatest strength is to see everyone from the same perspective.

‘Retired from Rajya Sabha, not retired from politics’

Ghulam Nabi Azad said, ‘I have retired from Rajya Sabha, have not retired from politics and I have not retired from Parliament for the first time. Today, after many years, we are not part of the state, our identity has been lost. The fight will be continued inside and outside our Parliament to regain statehood. When the elected ministers and chief ministers will not be here, this condition of unemployment, roads and schools will continue.

If the Congress becomes weak then understand that the country has become weak – Sibal

Former Union Minister Anand Sharma said in his address that the Congress has weakened in the last decade. Raising voice to strengthen Congress. All of us leaders have come from the struggle and have not come from above. The time has come to strengthen the Congress. Congress leader Kapil Sibal said that the Congress party seems to be weakening. They will unite and strengthen the Congress again. Why is the experience of leaders not being used? We will strengthen the Congress party in every nook and corner of the country. If the Congress becomes weak then understand that the country has become weak.
