Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gaba on Saturday alerted them by holding a review meeting with the secretaries of the eight states. Gaba recommends increasing ground level work for corona prevention and emphasizing 24-hour monitoring. Apart from Maharashtra, secretaries of Punjab, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Telangana were present in the meeting.
According to the Union Health Ministry, 16,488 newly infected patients were found in the country on Friday. While 113 people have died. Meanwhile 12,771 patients were discharged from the hospital. With this, the total number of infected patients in the country has increased to more than 1.10 crore, out of which 1.07 crore patients have been health. While 1,54,938 patients died of corona. Currently, the number of active patients has increased to 1,59,590. Until recently, the active rate in the country was 1.31 per cent, which has now risen to 1.44 per cent.
86 percent of patients were found in only six states
According to the Ministry of Health, on Friday, 85.75 percent of infected patients in the country were found in only six states. The maximum 8,333 patients were in Maharashtra. While 3671 new patients were found in Kerala. Talking about the last two weeks, although the number of active patients in Kerala has come down from 63,847 to 51,679, there is a growing form of corona due to the high number of infected patients found here every day. As of February 14, there were 34,449 active patients in Maharashtra, which has now increased to 68,810. Apart from this, the number of active patients has increased in Punjab, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Punjab.

The cabinet secretary gave necessary instructions to the eight states in the meeting. He said that the level of immediate investigation should be increased in the districts where corona cases are increasing. In these districts, RT-PCR investigation should be given more attention. Administration and governments should keep extra vigil on the areas of high infection, the cabinet secretary gave information to the states about the new mutation of the virus and also said that genome sequencing was also necessary.
He said, along with control over the corona, it is more important to find out about its new forms, its only option is genome sequencing. The cabinet secretary said, ‘Corona’s death rate is still high in some parts of the country. For this, with more focus on medical management, it has been asked to complete the vaccination in the affected districts. With all these advice, it has been appealed to the states to strictly follow the Kovid Vigilance Rules. State governments can also carry out a campaign at the mass group level.
Vaccine rates will be decided today
The third phase of vaccination in the country will start from Monday. During this time, vaccines will be available at ten thousand government centers and free of cost at 20 thousand private centers. The government will fix vaccine rates in private centers on Sunday. According to sources, the cost of one dose of vaccine can be Rs 350. There will be a cost of Rs 250 vaccine and Rs 100 service fee. In the second phase, the elderly over 60 years and patients above 45 years of age will get the vaccine.
