The Delhi Police’s Crime Branch has filed a charge sheet against JNU alumnus Omar Khalid in the Delhi riot case. The crime branch has filed a charge sheet of about 100 pages in various sections, besides provoking Omar Khalid riots, plotting riots, giving anti-national speech. It said that on 8 January 2020, Umar Khalid, Khalid Saifi and Tahir Hussain met in Shaheen Bagh to plot the riots.

Omar Khalid was involved in demonstrations in several states
The Delhi Police has alleged that Khalid visited several states to conduct anti-CAA demonstrations. He provoked people by giving provocative speeches.
