Kapil Gurjar fired two bullets in the air raising communal slogans near the police barricade, about 150 meters from the protest venue in Shaheen Bagh. Thankfully no one was shot. Policemen and CRPF personnel present near the barricade nabbed him and took him to Sarita Vihar police station. The accused has been identified as Kapil Gurjar, a resident of Dallupura in East Delhi. An illegal pistol was found from him.

Before anyone could understand anything, he took out the pistol and fired two bullets into the air. Everything happened so quickly that no one understood anything. Before the people present at the demonstration approached Kapil, the police and security personnel overpowered him. He was brought to the car and brought to the Sarita Vihar police station.
