According to the information, Hukum Bhai, who lives in Bhel Township, received an electricity bill on December 2. It showed a reading of 110 units, whose bill should be around 790 rupees, but a bill of 16 thousand 595 rupees was sent to them. Investigation revealed that about 150 such cases related to wrong electricity bills in the city reach the department daily, but they are not resolved. Please tell that the zonal offices of the electricity company in Bhopal give the consumers data to meter readers. It contains information like old readings, name, address and service number etc. Meter readers do spot billing by reading the current month, after which consumers are billed. RJ Srivastava, retired superintendent engineer of the power company, states that electricity bills are made at the division level. For this, data punching is also done, but sometimes data punching goes wrong, which creates wrong bills. Officials of the electricity department say that a complaint can be lodged if the wrong bill comes. For this, the department has issued WhatsApp number 0755-2551222. Apart from this, complaint can also be lodged on the portal portal.mpcz.in or call center number 1912 of the department. At the same time, the Energy Minister’s PS Sanjay Dubey said that consumers can send their meter photos to the zone office and distribution centers. Apart from this, CM can also complain on the helpline.
