On the Loni-Khajuri Pusta Marg in Loni police station area of Ghaziabad, the assailants killed Ajay Sharma (35) in a flurry in a flower shop dispute after he was unceremoniously beaten to death with a rod.

Police arrested the main accused Govind Sharma and his partner Amit, resident of Sonia Vihar Delhi. None of the crowd present at the time of the incident came to save Ajay. The accused had earlier threatened to kill Ajay, but the police did a dabble instead of taking action.

Late in the evening, SSP Kalanidhi Naithani suspended two SI and Head Constable Dheeraj Chaturvedi, who were negligent. DLF Outpost Incharge Naveen Kumar has also given the inquiry to SP Gramin while spotting the line.

Surendra Prasad Sharma, originally living in Bihar’s district Supol, has been living in the Sri Mahakal Shakti Peeth temple on Loni-Khajuri Pusta Marg for many years. On Monday, his son Ajay Sharma (35) boarded an auto near the house to go to Delhi for work.

It was told that Govind and his unknown partner, standing in the way, reached Ajim at about 12 noon and stopped Ajay from the auto by stopping the auto on Khajuri Pusta Marg. Before Ajay could understand anything, both of them started beating him with an iron rod.

Both beat Ajay badly for about 10 minutes. The attackers fled leaving him unharmed and bled. On getting the information, the family reached the spot and with the help of people, Ajay was admitted to GTB Hospital in Delhi.

Ajay died while undergoing treatment at the hospital. Police reached the information and sent the body for postmortem. At the same time, the family of the deceased lodged a report against Govind and an unknown.

Ajay used to keep a shop of flower-offerings made in the temple in the morning. Govind Sharma, a resident of Sonia Vihar Delhi, also runs a flower shop on the banks of the temple. According to family members, Govind and Ajay often had a quarrel over setting up a flower shop at the temple gate.

About seven months ago, the police removed Govind’s shop from the second gate of the temple. After this, Govind started to shop near the first gate of the temple. On April 9, there was a fight between Govind and Ajay’s brother Sanjay. Both were beaten up.

Govind came to the temple with a knife and was threatening to kill. The video of the quarrel in the past is with the family, in which Govind is seen threatening to kill him by waving a knife. Sanjay also gave tahrir to the police against the accused but later both were compromised.

After the quarrel, Govind began to feel angry with Ajay and his family. Govind takes Ajay’s life to avenge the same quarrel. According to the relatives, even after the agreement, Govind used to shop outside the temple, which had a fight.

The SSP had handed over the investigation to CO Loni on allegations of not taking action on the complaint made by the family of the deceased Ajay in April. SSP suspended SI Sheshipal Bhardwaj, SI Ankit Kumar Balyan and Head Constable Dheeraj Chaturvedi after being found guilty in the late night investigation report.

At the same time, SSP has also fallen on DLF Outpost Incharge Naveen Kumar for not having enough information about prevalence in the area. The SSP, while spotting the checkpoint incharge, has investigated the entire case to SP Gramin.

Both accused arrested
SP villager Dr Iraj Raja informed that a report has been lodged on the families of Tahrir. Three teams were formed to arrest the accused. The main accused Govind was arrested late in the evening. He named his partner Amit who was also arrested by the police.

He has given clear instructions to all other police station and outpost in-charge that on receiving any such complaint, serious attention should be taken immediately.
