While following the orders of NHAI, people are being made aware of fastag by toll workers through Munadi, banners and pamphlets, but the network malfunctions from time to time are adding to the trouble. Alam is that Chhapwa Toll Plaza has a six lane fastag equipped and two VIP lanes. Network faults cause vehicles to jam on the plaza.
Nauthanwan resident Manoj Kumar Rana says that NHAI is hurrying to release its new guidelines. The problem of network malfunction being a border region is common here. Now, suddenly, from January 1, the recovery of double toll tax from fastag vehicles is not right. Ishwar Jaiswal, a resident of Nautanwan town, said that there are many people who are not aware of this new rule of toll plaza. It would have been better if the plaza workers had fixed the network problem earlier.
Toll Plaza Chhapwa Manager Uttam Rai said that the plaza is being cashless by NHAI in view of saving time and fuel for the people. Following the rule, fastag vehicles will be allowed to cross the plaza only after paying double toll tax from January 1. Bad network is causing some problems.
