Haryana weather news: 2.9 degree Celsius night temperature record in Karnal

There is a steady decline in temperature due to the northwest winds. On Thursday, the chill in Karnal increased and the night temperature reached the lowest in the state at 2.9 degrees Celsius. In most of the places in the state, frost has accumulated and people have been facing heavy fog since morning. The situation on the highway was that the visibility was reduced to 50 meters.

This is the reason that accidents took place at many places in the state on Thursday. However, after 8 o’clock in the morning there was intense sunshine and people got some relief from the fog and cold. Rohtak’s day was the coldest in the state. The day temperature here was recorded at 18.8 degree Celsius. Hisar had a night temperature of 3.3 degrees Celsius. As soon as the sun set in the evening, the state went into the heat of winter.

Yellow alert of winter: temperature will fall today and tomorrow also
According to the Agricultural Meteorological Department of Haryana Agricultural University (HAU), there is a possibility of night temperature fall on Friday and Saturday across the state. Night temperatures can remain between one and three degrees Celsius due to cold northwest winds. During this period, frost can also be frozen somewhere in the state. In view of severe cold, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert. According to the department, due to the partial effect of western disturbance on 26 and 27 December, there may be cloud cover in the middle. Due to its effect, there is likely to be a slight increase in night temperature on these two days.

Air polluted at 13 places, AQI of Gurugram reached 424
There was a slight decline in air pollution in the state on Thursday and air quality index was recorded at more than 300 places at 13 places as compared to Wednesday. Gurugram was the most polluted district in the state with an air quality index of 424. AQI 418 of Dharuhera was recorded. Panchkula recorded the lowest air quality index of 162, Palwal’s 189 and Bhiwani’s 190. Hisar’s air quality index stood at 350.
