Through the efforts of the last six years, the color of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mission Kashmir managed to make headlines in the DDC elections. Kashmir for the first time saffron Chola Odha and the party managed to win three seats. In numbers, this is far less than the clandestine coalition, but the main thing is that the stronghold of terror should be South Kashmir or North Kashmir adjoining the LoC or Central Kashmir being the stronghold of separatists. Everywhere the saffron brigade made their presence felt by winning one seat each.

In the District Development Council elections, Minha Latifa from Kakpora seat of Pulwama in South Kashmir, Engineer Ejaz from Khanmoh in Srinagar (Central Kashmir) and Ejaz Ahmed Khan from Tulail seat of Bandipora (North Kashmir) have managed to win.

In the Kashmir Valley, BJP fielded 50 candidates out of 140. The party made preparations on a war footing, linking lotus feeding in the valley with its reputation. The entire army of Union ministers was removed. Central leader Shahnawaz Hussain had camped here. Along with this, Union Ministers Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Anurag Thakur and Dr. Jitendra Singh, National General Secretary and Jammu and Kashmir in-charge Tarun Chugh, Ashish Sood held meetings to create an atmosphere in favor of BJP in the entire division.

A total of more than 100 gatherings were held at various places. With this, the BJP tried to make a fiza by taking out the Tiranga Shikara rally in Dal Lake. A tricolor rally was held outside Mehbooba’s house on Gupakar Road. While the BJP performed better in the 2014 assembly elections, it won 25 seats (23 per cent votes), but the account was not opened in Kashmir. For the first time, the BJP was also successful in forming a government with the PDP. After this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi started an effort to bring Jammu and Kashmir into the category of developed states of the country.

In order to make Modi’s dream come true, both the Central and State Governments started various development schemes. Efforts were also made to provide employment to the youth. Analysts say that now the acceptance of the BJP has also been made in Kashmir.

BJP’s Kashmir in-charge Vibodh Gupta says that the BJP has laid the foundation in Kashmir in the DDC elections. A big palace is going to be built there soon. Separatism and terrorism are the beginning of the end of politics. This is the victory of Jamhooriyat. There is also victory over 30 years of terror.

The effect of the atmosphere created after the withdrawal of 370
Political analysts believe that after the removal of Article 370, effective control over the atmosphere, development works, terrorism and separatism in the valley has started to affect the common Kashmiris. Because of this, people have joined BJP so that the generations of people trapped in the vicious cycle of violence for the last 30 years do not have to face all this. Youths should have pen and laptop instead of gun in their hands. Every hand needs work. The BJP winning the three seats in the Kashmir Valley is a good sign. This is a good and positive sign not only for BJP but also for the politics of Jammu and Kashmir and healthy democracy. It directly means that after the withdrawal of 370, the efforts made by the BJP in Jammu and Kashmir on the development front have also been stamped. In Kashmir, which is living under the shadow of terror, the BJP prepared an army of workers so that if it managed to win the seat, it is a good effort.
