new Delhi. The central government is constantly taking steps to increase farmers’ income. Now Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has suggested an important way to increase farmers’ income. Nitin Gadkari has said that the Khadi and Village Industries Commission will soon launch a ‘Vedic Paint’, from which farmers can earn Rs 55,000 a year. He tweeted that the rural economy should be strengthened and farmers get extra income, so through the Khadi and Village Industries Commission, we are soon going to launch a ‘Vedic Paint’ made from cow dung. This paint that comes in distemper and emulsion will be eco friendly, non toxic, anti bacterial, anti fungal and washable and will dry in just four hours. This will lead to additional income of 55 thousand rupees in a year to livestock farmers.

Interest of farmers is top priority of Modi government: Nadda

BJP President JP Nadda on Wednesday lauded the decision of the Union Cabinet for sugar export subsidy of Rs 3,500 crore, saying that the interest of farmers has always been a top priority of the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Referring to the approval given by the central government to the revised estimated cost of Rs 6,700 crore for the northeast regional power system improvement project, the BJP president said that this will accelerate the social and economic development of the six states of the northeast. While thanking the government for the approval given for the next round of spectrum auction, Nadda said that it would help in keeping the country safe.

Nadda tweeted, “Today’s decision of the Union Cabinet for Sugar Export Subsidy will not only solve the problem of excessive production but also about 27,000 crore rupees, five crore sugarcane will be available to the farmers and 5 lakh workers will be benefited”. In a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) headed by the Prime Minister, the government approved a sugar export subsidy of Rs 3,500 crore for sugar mills in the current marketing year (2020-21). It is expected that this will increase the business of sugar mills and the arrival of cash money will help them to pay the cane dues of the farmers.

According to an official release, this decision will benefit five crore sugarcane farmers and their families and five lakh workers working in sugar mills and other ancillary activities. The Union Cabinet today approved the revised estimated cost of Rs 6,700 crore for the North East Regional Power System Improvement Project. The project aims to strengthen the inter-state transmission and distribution system in the six states of that region. Apart from this, the Union Cabinet also approved the next round of spectrum auction. The auction will be held in March and will sell a total of 2,251 MHz frequency.
