Total Number of Cases Registered Against Azam Khan Reaches 91 Many Against Wife and Son Too – 2019: On an average every two and a half days the case filed against Azam and family, the century will be completed soon

The year of 2019 has not been a very good year for MP Azam Khan, who is lodged in Sitapur jail with wife and son. There are 91 cases against Azam Khan so far, out of which 70 cases have been registered in 2019. Apart from this, 34 cases against his wife Dr. Tajin Fatma and 44 against his son Abdullah Azam have also been registered in 2019.

On an average every two and a half days in 2019, a case has been registered against Azam Khan or a member of his family. Azam and his family have registered 148 cases in 2019.
MP Azam Khan has been in active politics for the last 43 years. Several cases were also filed against him.

As of 2017, there were 21 cases against him. 9 of these cases were withdrawn in the previous SP government. In six cases, the police had filed the final report and in six chargesheets. The maximum 70 cases against Azam Khan were registered in 2019.

In 2019, 28 cases were filed against Azam Khan for the possession of the land of the farmers of Aliyaganj, 20 for the violation of the code of conduct and 10 for the destruction of the houses of the people of Yatimkhana.

Apart from this, several cases were registered in 2019 in different police stations on charges of grabbing land of enemy property, occupying land of public use, assaulting and threatening Abdullah Azam with two birth certificates. In 2019 itself, the police registered 34 cases against Azam Khan’s wife Dr Tazin Fatma and 44 against his son Abdullah Azam.

In this way, of the 91 cases against Azam Khan so far, nine have withdrawn the government, seven have filed police final reports, in one case the nomination was found to be false and in 73 cases, the police has filed charge sheets. The investigation in only one of the cases filed against Azam Khan is still going on.

In all of the 34 lawsuits filed against Dr. Tajin Fatma, the police has imposed charge sheets. In two of the 44 cases filed against Abdullah Azam, his nomination was found to be false, in 41 a police chargesheet was filed and one trial is still under investigation.

According to police records, most of the lawsuits filed against Azam Khan have been granted bail. Bail is pending in only two cases. Similarly, bail has not been granted in two cases of Dr. Tajin Fatma and three cases of Abdullah.

The century of Azam’s cases will be completed soon
The police have included Azam Khan’s name during the investigation of 11 cases filed at Ganj police station. It is alleged that at the behest of Azam Khan, the accused destroyed the houses of the people of Dungarpur. In these cases, the police have made Azam Khan an accused of section 120-B (conspiracy) of the IPC. SP Shagun Gautam says that as soon as the charge sheet is filed in these cases, the number of cases filed against Azam Khan will be 102.

During the Lok Sabha elections, Azam Khan was accused of making indecent remarks on BJP candidate Jayaprada. A case has been registered in this case in Shahabad Kotwali. The trial of this case is still in progress.

SP Shagun Gautam says that the CD of the remarks made by Azam Khan against BJP candidate and former MP Jayaprada has been sent to the inquiry. The investigation report has not been received yet.

Decision to cancel Abdullah’s legislature came in 2019 itself
Abdullah Azam, son of Rampur MP Azam Khan, was elected in the 2017 assembly election from Swar. BSP candidate Nawab Kazim Ali Khan alias Naved Mian challenged his election in the High Court, citing his age at the time of nomination. The High Court quashed Abdullah’s legislature on 16 December 2019. However, Abdullah has challenged this decision in the Supreme Court, which is still under consideration.
