Outside contract workers have been called after an indefinite strike by nursing staff at Delhi AIIMS on Monday. Delhi AIIMS has temporarily deployed nursing staff to provide medical services to patients. This is to say that of AIIMS Nursing Union President Harish Kumar.

He said that AIIMS nursing workers have been appealing to the Director of Health or the Director of Health for a long time. AIIMS Director was also present in the meeting with the Health Minister some time ago. At that time all the demands were accepted but till now they could not be implemented. Now when the nursing union started demonstrating, the AIIMS management has invited employees from outside on contract. This behavior of AIIMS management is not acceptable under any circumstances. On the other hand, there has been no response from AIIMS management on these allegations of union.

Delhi Police will be deployed, FIR will be obstructed in treatment
Regarding the strike of nursing staff in Delhi AIIMS, it has been decided that if any employee interrupts the treatment of the patient, then legal action will be taken against him. For this, a letter has been written to Delhi Police and an appeal has been made to deploy additional police force.

AIIMS management has clarified in the orders issued late evening that additional staff have been deployed to ensure that there is no obstruction in the service of patients due to the strike. All departments have been instructed to impose duties of resident doctors, MBBS final year students and BSC nursing students working in their respective departments.

It has also said that legal action can be taken if additional staff are stopped by the union. Additional force will be deployed on behalf of Delhi Police. Also, AIIMS trains will also be deployed. In fact, on Monday, the nursing union has alleged that the management has deployed workers on contract from outside to strike the message that the union’s strike is ineffective.
