Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has once again favored NCP chief Sharad Pawar. In fact, over the last few days, the speculation of Pawar being made the head of the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) is spreading rapidly in political circles. On this, Raut said on Saturday that leaders of small political stature prevented Sharad Pawar from going to the top.

Please tell that today is the birthday of NCP chief Sharad Pawar. He is 80 years old. Former Congress leader Pawar revolted against the party leadership and formed the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in 1999. Raut told reporters in Nashik that Pawar’s abilities and qualities became a hindrance to his political journey.

He said that leaders of shorter stature feared him and ensured that he did not reach the top. He claimed that if elections had been held in the Congress, Pawar would have had 80 per cent of the votes.

Shiv Sena leader Raut said that Pawar should have got an opportunity to become Prime Minister long ago. Today he is 80 years old. But he is a leader for whom age is no barrier.

When asked about the future of the Congress, Raut said that political parties cannot be eliminated. He said that at one time the BJP had only two MPs.

On speculation that Pawar may become UPA president, Raut said that we would be happy if a Maharashtra leader becomes the head of a Congress-led coalition.

On the farmers’ protest against the new agricultural laws on the borders of Delhi, Raut said that if the central government steps back, it will not affect its reputation. He asked that these laws be debated again in Parliament. Understand why farmers are asking them to repeal these laws.
