Farmers’ organizations announced on December 12 to make the country toll free. Earlier, agitating farmers in Karnal and Panipat of Haryana captured the Basatada toll plaza and Panipat toll plaza late on Friday night and broke the barrier. Farmers became active since Friday morning on the Basatara on National Highway-44 in the district and the Pyont toll plaza on Karnal-Jind road. The farmers had reached the spot and appealed to the company authorities to keep the toll closed on Saturday. During this time, the toll management had asked to take a decision only on the orders of NHAI (National Highway Authority). After this information was also given to NHAI and local administration.

After this, DC Nishant Kumar Yadav had talked about deploying a large number of police forces on the toll on Saturday morning but before that late Friday, hundreds of farmers of Punjab and Haryana reached Basalta toll plaza. As soon as they moved forward after toll free, the toll company started collecting again. In such a situation, the farmers returned and broke the barrier. After this, the agitating farmers also occupied Panipat toll plaza and freed it.

On the other hand, National President of Annadata Bharatiya Kisan Union, Gurmukh Singh said that on December 13, it has also been decided to close Loni Road Border. For this, meetings of farmers’ organizations in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh are going on. As part of the strategy, Loni will be traveling towards Border Road and farmers’ batches will reach there. He said that farmers will also boycott the products of two big industrial houses during the toll demonstration. At the same time, 14 farmers are also planning to perform at the district level.

Gulia Khap will close KMP toll today
On December 12, a demonstration will be organized by Gulia Khap Teesa on the Kundli-Palwal-Manesar Express Highway on the call of farmer leaders and organizations. According to Khap leaders, during this time the KMP toll created in Badli will be closed, while the proposed company’s product will be boycotted by the organizations. Vinod Gulia, the head of the Khap on the Dhansa border, said that support of various Khapas will be with him during the performance. He said that the KMP toll plaza near Badli would be freed on the call of the All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee. We will not buy any products from the proposed company from tomorrow.
